Body dimensions for a woman of average build and height 5ft 5”-5ft 7” 165cm-170cm.

How to take body measurements for a perfect fit

Bust: Measure the fullest part of the bust. When putting the tape around your chest, make sure it is at the same level at the back as it is on the front. 

Waist: Tie a piece of string around your midriff to find your natural waistline (it tends to be higher than you think). Without holding in your breath or tightening your core, pass the tape around the where the string settles to find your waist measurement.

Hips: This measurement is usually about 22cm lower from where the waist was made. Make sure you measure the fullest part of your hips/bottom, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

Leg Lengths: Our ladies’ trousers are designed to fit a regular 31” inside leg measurement. Skirt and dress lengths vary depending on design. Most of the Classic shift dress styles are 61cm from the waist, which on an average height finishes just below the knee, whereas the fuller dresses tend to be 15cm longer, or approximately 76cm from the waist.

Considerations: Always take your own personal measurements and cross-reference them with our size chart.

Our garments have, on the whole, a close tailored fit, with between 4cm to 5cm ‘free’ fabric for ease of movement and breathing.

We recommend that with straight-fitted dresses you should purchase the size that corresponds with your largest measurement, ie:- if you have a large bust and small hips, buy the size for the for your bust measurement, and vice versa.

We do offer an alteration service in store, so if you are able to come by Pall Mall for a fitting at a time convenient to you, please call to arrange an appointment.

If you have a good tailor in your area, taking in side seams or raising a hem should be a task they could do for you without too much trouble.

• To ensure your purchase arrives in time for Christmas, all orders to the UK must be placed by 12pm on the 22nd December
• To ensure your purchase arrives in time for Christmas all orders to the USA & Canada must be placed before midnight on 19th December.
• To ensure your purchase arrives in time for Christmas all international orders must be placed before midnight on the 16th December.

Favourbrook delivers internationally, shipping to the vast majority of countries. All our deliveries are sent by courier, with a tracked and signed-for service. We aim to dispatch orders by the next working day, but please note that during busy sale and promotional periods there may be a slight delay in dispatching your order.

Taxes & Duties (International Orders)

Products that are to be delivered outside of the UK will have a VAT deduction applied within the checkout when a valid delivery address is entered.

Favourbrook is pleased to offer shipping to your destination on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties will be shown alongside your total purchase price at checkout. There will be no unexpected additional costs due on delivery of your items.

Online Returns and Cancellation Policy

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase from us. But if you need to make a return for any reason we will be happy to help. This page explains our returns policy and how to go about making a return should you need to.

You can return goods you have ordered from us if Merchandise is not satisfactory or which does not correspond with its description or which fails to comply with any other item implied by the sale of Goods Act 1979. Goods must be returned / exchanged within 14 days (from receipt of goods) in their original condition after this we reserve the right to accept a refund or exchange. Please note that we can only accept returns of grooming and cosmetic items if these are unopened and in their original complete packaging. Favourbrook does not cover the costs of returning items (international or domestic) and are unable to support international exchanges at this time.

Before returning your items to us, please check:

• The items for return are unworn, in re-saleable condition, complete with all swing tags and security tag. (If the security tag has been removed in any way we will not be able to accept the return).
• You have included your original invoice, with your preference for exchange or a refund.
• If you wish to exchange your items, remember to specify for which product, colour & size, using the space provided on your invoice. We recommend that you send us a quick email at sales@favourbrook.com so we can put the replacement item aside for you. (Please note that we are unable to support international exchanges at this time.)
• If you are a customer from outside the EU you will need to request a returns commercial invoice as well. Please contact us by email to sales@favourbrook.com to obtain this invoice.

If you wish to cancel your order:

• You can notify us by email to sales@favourbrook.com or call us on +44 (0) 20 7491 2331 before we have dispatched the goods to you; or
• Where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with the clause set above.
