Olive with Gold Bee Embroidered Velvet & Leather Slippers
A Prince Albert slipper in olive cotton velvet, with Favourbrook's bee embroidered in gold thread across the vamp, made in collaboration with Jeffery-West.
Olive cotton velvet, cut with a whole-cut vamp and a high square tongue, and edged in black leather piping. Lined in red leather and set on a leather sole and stacked leather heel, with Oscar Wilde's line "I don't want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there." carved into the sole. Handmade in Italy, in limited numbers.
The slippers came out of a long friendship between Oliver Spencer and Guy West of Jeffery-West, who are neighbours in London. The Olive Velvet Gold Bees Single Breasted Waistcoat with Piping sets gold bees on olive velvet as well.
