A single-breasted waistcoat in burgundy damask silk, its pattern held in the weave, with six mother-of-pearl buttons and a lining embroidered with the house bee.
A burgundy damask silk whose pattern lies in the weave rather than the colour, so that the light rather than the dye does the shifting. Six mother-of-pearl buttons, a welt pocket at either side, an adjustable back strap, and a lining embroidered throughout with the house bee. Made in England.
Burgundy answers for those occasions on which black would be a shade too solemn and a true colour a shade too much. It belongs beneath a black or midnight dinner jacket, and at a winter wedding quite as comfortably.
