A dinner jacket in Nene velvet, the motif worked into the pile as small olive batons upon a dark ground, with a plain contrast-faced lapel.
Nene is a patterned velvet in which the motif is worked into the pile itself, small olive batons set close together on a dark ground. The lapel is faced in a plain dark cloth, so that the pattern stops obligingly at the edge. Made in Portugal.
A patterned dinner jacket is permitted a certain latitude provided everything else is beyond reproach: a plain shirt, a black bow and plain trousers. The Green Nene Velvet Large Party Bow Tie and the Green Nene Velvet Flat Cummerbund & Bow Tie Set are cut from the same cloth.
