A golden trinity - three precious assets for your wardrobe

A golden trinity - three precious assets for your wardrobe

Gold has been a store of value ever since man discovered how to get it out of the earth and polish it up so it's no wonder that the shiny yellow metal continues to allure us to the day. The solid stuff might be a good inflation hedge in the coming decade, but the colour itself is a fabulous addition to your wardrobe. The rich yellow tone and satin lustre catches the eye and makes one instantly feel glamorous and sophisticated. It's also an amazingly versatile colour that you can wear tonally or as a contrast, particularly with black, where the juxtaposition is at its most striking. With that said we've hand-picked a triumvirate of gold garments from our current collection that will bring a wealth of new styling dimensions to your wardrobe.

BELGRAVIA COAT GOLD
BURNETT SILK ORGANZA

The first of two Belgravia coats that make up this precious trinity is beautifully constructed in silk organza, one of our favourite delicate fabrics. Long-line and svelte in silhouette, it features a double-button fastening and back button detail along with a single back vent. The floral embroidery appears to naturally and gracefully climb up the length of the coat from its base at the ornate hem. The sheer sleeves are a beautifully feminine detail, too.

Our second Belgravia coat in gold is this stunning mosaic design that catches the light wonderfully to really show off the intricate workmanship that has gone into creating such a unique piece. The lighter gold tone makes it ideal to wear with a similar tonal palette such as tan and cream, but for more of a contrast it also pairs elegantly with a white dress.

The perfect option to wear with either of the aforementioned Belgravia coats, the Marie silk dress features figure-flattering lines, a covered bodice and an easy fit with a concealed zip fastening. Minimalistic in design, the pleated shoulders offer a subtle detail to frame the face. It's a great option for a smart evening event when you want to be elegant but not overdressed.
