Now that we're finally able to invite guests to our homes and gardens, it's time to start entertaining! Whether you're putting on a spread for a special occasion, or having friends round for a summer cocktail party, it's a great excuse to get dressed up for the occasion. We like to imagine ourselves in one of those wonderfully decadent Slim Aarons images by the pool in Palm Springs or in the grounds of a Tuscan estate, surrounded by great friends, good food, and exemplary style!

First stop on our Slim Aarons fantasy adventure is the blooming world of floral dresses which never fail to put a spring in our step. From the classic English garden motifs to more exotic and powerful floral prints, flowery dresses bring a fresh and charming energy to one's summer wardrobe, and as the host it sets just the right uplifting tone for your get together. We have some wonderfully diverse floral prints this season, cut in a range of different silhouettes to complement all body types.

For a slightly more reserved look, our Amelia dress is a beautifully soft and feminine option for summer days. Fully lined, it features a coral Georgette skirt and a slash neck, all in Italian embroidered silk organza. We also love this season's Emily dress which we've cut in a stunning crease-resist linen. Sleek, minimal and confidently feminine, it boasts a lovely textural finish. With cropped sleeves and subtle belt detail, it is a very chic option for summer events, and pairs well with a variety of cropped blousons or longer coats.
Which leads us nicely on to some our favourite pieces form the collection - summer jackets. With the British summer as it is, a lightweight coat is non-negotiable, and when you're hosting a party or soiree, it provides functionality on the one hand while also being extremely chic. Linen is of course one of our favourite fabrics for the summer thanks to its lightweight breathable weave and nuanced texture.

Our Westminster coat is a wonderful option is you prefer your coat to finish around the knee. It's a flattering, slim-line coat in embroidered french linen and features a grown-on collar, creating a sleek neckline. Contrast silk piping and scalloped edges, alongside covered silk button detailing make it a real statement style. Another of our favourite styles is the Belgravia coat. We've created it in a longer line silk organza style featuring a back-button design with regular pockets and single back vent, with a geometric pattern in hues of lilac.

If you prefer a floral style, then we also have created a silk organza version in a soft peach tone. Finished with a beautiful geometric floral motif, this longer line coat features a back button design with regular pockets and a single back vent. Complete with a working button cuff, the pale peach hue makes it a very sophisticated option for all manner of summer events.
