Friends of Favourbrook - Clair

Friends of Favourbrook - Clair

Part of our Friends of Favourbrook series, we were honoured to invite Clair Evans to sit for us in a beautiful womenswear look. Most will recognise Clair from the menswear side of the business, where she has been a long-standing font of sartorial knowledge, but we managed to persuade her to come in a style a stunning womenswear ensemble for us.

Hi Clair! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
I’ve spent the last 29 years working part-time for Favourbrook. I’m now retired, but it was such a fantastic job! Favourbrook is a gorgeous company to work with, and I’ve always loved the fabrics, the product, and the people. It’s been such a joy.

Lovely! How would you describe your personal style in a few words?
I’d say I’m quite a classic dresser. Favourbrook really suits me perfectly because, while the colours and details change every season, the essence of the pieces remains timeless. They’re so easy to wear, and I especially love wearing my vintage Favourbrook pieces. They still look as good today as they did when I first bought them.

Is there a standout event or celebration where Favourbrook played a role in what you wore?
Yes! My son’s graduation was a truly special occasion. I wore Favourbrook that day and felt absolutely fantastic. It was such a proud moment for him and for us as parents. We’ve even got a photo from that day displayed on our mantelpiece—it’s a wonderful reminder of a very memorable day.

That’s such a lovely memory. And what are your plans for New Year’s Eve this year?
We’re going out for dinner with friends locally - it’s something we do every year, and I always look forward to it. I’m really loving wearing more colour lately, especially as I’ve embraced my grey hair. It feels fresh and confident, which is the perfect mood for celebrating the New Year!

What’s your go-to tipple for toasting the New Year?
Oh, that’s easy - a classic gin martini. It’s my absolute favourite, and I can’t wait to enjoy one on New Year’s Eve.
