The many ways to style a Favourbrook jacket

The many ways to style a Favourbrook jacket

When we come to design our jackets, there are a number of factors that we consider which are crucial. More often than not, the starting place is fabric because even the most timeless of shapes can fall flat when cut in a poor fabric. Hence that's why we go to great lengths to source the finest silks, linens and cottons we can find. Fine fabrics combined with timeless silhouettes and the very best craftsmanship is what makes Favourbrook jackets the investment pieces they are. But when it comes to styling our creations, we often think of them as purely formal or semi-formal creations, but they are much more versatile than that, as you will discover.

For Spring/Summer 21, we created a variety of different silhouettes in a multitude of lightweight fabrics, including a beautiful crease-resistant linen. The Westminster coat is one of our most popular styles, and while it's perfect in formal settings, can also be worn casually with a pair of jeans or cigarette pants. This flattering, slimline coat features a grown-on collar creating a sleek neckline that makes it a stand out at any summer occasion. We have constructed in the aforementioned crease-resist linen, but also in Madras silk, Warsaw linen, embroidered tulle, and Tblisi linen.

Similarly, the Belgravia coat is an evolution of the Westminster and has been crafted in a number of different fabrics and tones. Slimline and finishing at the knee, it's a lightweight unstructured silhouette that is ideal to wear over tonal dresses. Fans of our Belgravia coat will adore the Eton coat, which features a re-worked bodice, tailored pockets, and back button detailing. It is the ideal coat for more formal summer events such as smart weddings or Royal Ascot. Alternatively, the Carnaby coat is one of the more casual of our long-line coats thanks to its unique button configuration and can easily be styled with jeans or leggings for a chic weekend look, or a pleated skirt for a slightly more dressy feel.

If you prefer a three-quarter length jacket, then our Swing jackets are a sophisticated yet fun option thanks to a tunic cut with three-quarter length sleeves that hark back to an era of timeless glamour. Our ivory Dickinson Swing jacket for example has been constructed from a beautifully soft French linen and comes expertly embellished with an intricate pink floral pattern, ensuring that you will always be in bloom. Even shorter is the Cassie jacket - casually elegant and endlessly versatile, it is a short jacket with a cinched-in waist and features a back bow detail belt, three-quarter length sleeves, and fabric-covered buttons. A perfect and easy-to-wear addition to your spring/summer wardrobe.
