It has been a while!! After what seems like an eternity with our doors closed to the public, last week was such a joy to welcome customers old and new back to Favourbrook. Both the Pall Mall store and the Piccadilly Arcade boutique (gleaming with a nice new refit!) were abuzz with fittings, which could be an indication that this summer is going to be a busy one on the wedding front, even if the big events don't get the green light.
Regulars to Favourbrook will no doubt recognise some of the faces you see below. Many of our staff have been with the Favourbrook family for a long time, but for those new customers among you, we thought we'd give you a quick introduction to the wonderful people that make this brand so special and unique!
Theresa, Favourbrook Womenswear, Pall Mall
If you've ever set foot in the womenswear store on Pall Mall, then you will have most definitely met Theresa. Favourbrook's General Manager, Theresa - along with designer Sophie Hives - is the face, backbone and beating heart of womenswear! Season after season, Theresa is responsible for making ladies look fabulous and she has never failed yet! With a wealth of womenswear knowledge and experience, Theresa is always best-placed to guide you through the nuances of our latest collection.

How have you found the first week since reopening Theresa?
"It's so good to be back in the store and seeing our customers in the flesh again. We have an amazingly loyal customer base who recognise Favourbrook for what it is: a uniquely creative and classic womenswear brand, but one that is difficult to truly get the measure of online because the real magic of our collections comes down to the fabrics we use. From rich velvet to silk shantung via delicate lace and tulle, you really need to touch and try on the garments to understand the craftsmanship that goes into each one."

Head of menswear, Jules has accumulated an incomparable wealth of knowledge when it comes to the nuances of formal dressing on the one hand, and a more relaxed summer aesthetic on the other. Has anything surprised you since reopening on April 12?
"We knew we were going to be busy when we reopened due to the sheer volume of requests for personal fittings, but the demand has really blown us away. With all the weddings that were cancelled last year, I think the church aisles of 2021 are going to be well trodden paths! It feels as though people have an even greater appetite for getting dressed up this year, and I don't blame them! There's nothing quite like formalwear to make you feel you're at a momentous occasion."

Agata is the manager of our Piccadilly Arcade waistcoat and accessories boutique and is the very epitome of service with a smile! Combining an enviable energy with her vast experience (not to mention a brilliant eye for a waistcoat), she can walk you through the hundreds of waistcoat and accessories options available.

What have you been looking forward to most about the shop reopening?
"Well there was a lot of work to do to get the shop ready after we had a beautiful new refit, but it was all worth it! We've created a lot more space in the store so customers can browse the waistcoats and accessories collections more easily. It has been great to see the familiar characters around St James' again too. I forgot just how smart everyone is here!"
Clair, Menswear, Pall Mall
There are few more experienced formalwear specialists in St. James', or London for that matter than Clair, who has been a vital part of Favourbrook menswear for many years. It's Clair's scrupulous eye for a sartorial detail that ensures that every customer leaves us feeling supremely confident in the garments they have purchased, and we couldn't ask for anything more. What do you love most about being back at Favourbrook finally?
"It's getting to work closely with clients on something that is very special to them. More often than not, they come to see us because they are getting married, or going to Royal Ascot for the first time so looking the part is a big deal. I never get tired of seeing the surprise on customer's faces when we run through all of the hundreds and hundreds of different morning dress configurations we can offer thanks to our vast array of waistcoats."
