A little squeeze of lime

A little squeeze of lime

The colour green has millions of nuances. Most are cool and calming, conveying a natural sense of tranquillity. In fact, the colour green has been shown to improve concentration, strengthen memory and lower blood pressure. And while many of the myriad green tones have a cool and passive nature, one of our favourites has a little more, shall we say 'zest', to it! A little squeeze of lime is just what a spring and summer wardrobe needs to bring it to life. Vibrant, eye-catching, but still soft and reassuring, lime green is one our our favourite tones to make a statement in!

What's brilliant about lime green is that it suits every skin tone and hair colour, and seems to permeate a natural glow. This season, we've used this to our advantage by creating a mini-capsule of lime-inspired tones that includes dresses, shifts and coats and jackets. The diversity of lime hues shows off the colour's versatility, from the subtle pale pastel of our linen Carnaby coat and silk shift dress to the punchier Shantung silk shift dress.

Mixing the tonal hues of lime is a simple and striking option (and a nice excuse to bring out the emeralds!), which you can very easily punctuate with flashes of bold contrasting accessories in hot pink or tangerine orange - no room for wallflowers here! That said, the linen creations really show off lime's soft pastel nuances, in contrast to the more glamorous silk sheen.

If it's a tone you've never really considered before, we'd thoroughly recommend you give it a whirl in our Pall Mall store, where Theresa and Sophie can offer their expertise in relaxed and private surroundings. They'd be delighted to see you drop by and bring the collection to life after so long in lockdown!
