New Arrivals: Meet the Randwicks

New Arrivals: Meet the Randwicks

While the hazy embrace of summer might seem like an eternity away (horizontal drizzle is slapping the windows as I write this), we can at least look forward to an approaching season of sartorial expression, and especially to outdoor summer events when we can seek refuge in the cool embrace of linen suits. As the mercury climbs, the venerable fabric of linen is able to perfectly marry sophistication with comfort.

Derived from the flax plant, linen boasts a centuries-old pedigree, revered for its breathability and distinctive texture. Its loose weave allows for superior airflow, making it the quintessential choice for those seeking respite from the sweltering summer heat. A Favourbrook linen suit drapes effortlessly, its relaxed silhouette boasting an air of effortless refinement. Yet, beneath its surface lies a fabric that is as durable as it is debonair, capable of weathering the rigours of both formal affairs and leisurely strolls along the boardwalk with equal aplomb.

From the silver screen to the pages of literary classics, linen-clad protagonists have become synonymous with a certain kind of suave sophistication. Think of Robert Redford's Jay Gatsby, resplendent in his immaculate white linen suit, epitomising the opulence and decadence of the Jazz Age in "The Great Gatsby." Or perhaps envision Humphrey Bogart, exuding rugged charm in his effortlessly rumpled linen attire as Rick Blaine in "Casablanca," a symbol of wartime romance and intrigue.

Linen is the undisputed king of summer sophistication, which is why we have honoured it with two of the finest suits we've ever made. Using our stunning linen Randwick fabric, we have applied it to our elegant Ebury jacket silhouette to create two suits that will ensure you are the best dressed man at any and every event you attend this summer.

The first is an ivory style, blended with cotton to create a natural drape and to help it maintain its shape. It features a perfectly proportioned peak lapel and can be worn as a suit with our matching dress trousers, but will equally double up as a versatile summer jacket that you could wear with navy chinos, or as a dinner jacket with classic black dress pants.

We have replicated the style in one of our favourite colours of the season - a soft sage green tone that is extremely versatile. Once again, you can wear it as a striking suit, or wear the jacket with cream trousers and tan loafers for a more casual aesthetic. Either way, these two suits will demand the attention of everyone within staring distance!
