The Autumn/Winter ’26 Womenswear Collection: The Art Of Arrival

There is a particular moment at the beginning of an evening when everything is still possible. The house is warm, the light is low, someone is opening a bottle in the next room and the first guests are beginning to arrive. It is a moment that calls for clothes with presence, aligned with and alive to the occasion.

For Autumn/Winter ’26, Favourbrook’s womenswear collection takes its cue from that sense of anticipation. Photographed at Neston Park in Wiltshire - a country house that will be known to Rivals viewers as 'The Falconry' - the collection explores the enduring pleasure of dressing for dinner. It is an idea rooted in a particular kind of British social life, but its appeal is universal: the belief that an evening becomes more enjoyable when you dress with intention.

At the heart of the collection is velvet outerwear, which can transform a simple silk dress into a complete evening look; lend tailored trousers a more dramatic edge; or make even the shortest walk from car to front door feel like an entrance. Silk velvet has a softness and depth that shifts with the light, while cotton velvet brings a richer, more structured feel. This season's velvet coats are designed around exactly this sense of opulence and dark romanticism.

Beneath the outer layers, silk plays its own essential role. Silk satin catches candlelight with a clean, luminous sheen; silk georgette moves with an airier, more fluid quality, softening sharper silhouettes and creating a sense of motion even when standing still. Together, they form the collection’s counterpoint to velvet.

The silhouettes are designed to offer options rather than instructions. There are long-line velvet jackets that demand you stay for late-night drinks, tailored pieces that bring a little borrowed-from-the-boys confidence, and refined silk dresses separates that can move between cocktail dressing and black tie with a change of shoe, earring or coat. These are clothes designed to make the wearer feel like the most assured version of herself.

Autumn/Winter ’26 is for grand houses and city dining rooms, winter weddings and theatre nights, impromptu parties and carefully planned celebrations. Above all, it is for arriving with confidence and staying the course in sheer elegance.
